Is Rand Rescue a financial adviser?

No. Rand Rescue does not provide financial advice or sell financial products. We assist with tax emigration, SARS non-resident confirmation, inheritance transfers, policy surrenders, and the facilitation of fund transfers via authorised dealers.

What is tax emigration from South Africa?

Tax emigration is notifying SARS that you no longer meet SA tax residency tests, moving you from resident to non-resident for income-tax purposes. This may enable access to retirement funds once the three-year non-resident rule is met.

Can Rand Rescue help me access my retirement annuity, pension or provident fund?

Yes—subject to current rules. We assist with policy surrenders and encashments where eligible (including the three-year rule and two-pot retirement system considerations).

Can you help transfer my inheritance out of South Africa?

Yes. We assist beneficiaries with the correct non-resident accounts, SARS compliance and AIT submissions so funds can be paid and transferred abroad.

Do I need an AIT to move money out of South Africa?

Tax residents need an AIT after using the R1 million single discretionary allowance in a calendar year (up to an additional R10 million). Non-residents generally require an AIT for each transfer. We help prepare and submit AIT applications.
