 – Charged with animal cruelty by the NSPCA and Afriforum in 2014 for dead animals on her farm. The charges were dismissed in 2021 as the court found that the man she had employed to take care of the farm was responsible for the neglect and deaths.
 – Accused of denying a severance package for her department’s spokesperson, Marco Boni. 
 – Taken to court by Afriforum and other organisations for draconian measures imposed during lockdown.
